Nicky,
The GHL showed my the dancing Golden, she has seen a couple other of her videos......way out of my league. That doesn't mean you or Roe can't contact her. Might say that Roe and I may both have too many years on us to want to do the crazy stuff we might have dreamed of in our youth.... But I do think that a little dress like that would look striking on Miss Abby!

....Herschel

(GHL told me that one of the ECS breeder/show people posted the first video she saw of this Golden dancing and she found it interesting to read the dog people's responses. Many thought it was cute and the team very talented. Several did not like it b/c of the "costume" on the dog and that the dog was dancing on her hind legs "unnatural" like :? The GHL didn't respond but pointed out to me that the dog looked mighty happy and must have inherited great hips, or would not have been able to dance that way. What you you guys think?)

That was amazing!! To dance on her hind legs for that long and to remember that whole routine! And do it in a dress!

Herschel, I bet if you went on Dancing With The Stars with her, she could teach you how to do that! (If Cloris Leachman at 82 could do it, you can too!)
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

It seemed the dog was having fun, but sometimes I cringe at what humans do to animals to make them act human for our entertainment.

Me, too, Lenora.

And sometimes I cringe at the thoughts of my behavior when I play with Peaches (down on all 4's, etc). I do wonder what she's thinking (like I don't know this human, I might love her, but I don't know her.)

Some dogs do like the dancing and the dressing up - and some hate it. I always wonder how many it gets forced on if they don't like it. Same with show dogs. I've had breeders admit that some of the dogs don't like it - well, then, don't make them do it. Kind of like parents who force pageants on their little kids - or "hollywood" moms. OK, I'm going off here, aren't I? Peaches is calling me to play. woof woof

The guy and his dog were on the David Letterman show last night. The dog looked like she was enjoying it. I think my DH's border collie would do just about anything to please him. Guess it would depend on the dog's personality, whether they would like it or not.
