I remember that - but it didn't happen in San Antonio - it happened in Spokane, WA - and they slightly changed the name of the person who did the rescuing. Wonder if someone loves San Antonio so much they felt they had to do that?

That said - I still love seeing the pictures :) And at the bottom of what you posted, it does say Snopes says it's true with some variations - and Snopes gives the corrections.

Hoorah for the man who did that - I love seeing people do the humane thing.

I would have done the same thing! I even have duckling nets in my car in case I need to rescue any.
