Couldn't stand being without a dog after Boomer died. This fella picked me just as I was getting ready to leave the shelter after turning down the dog I had gone to see. He kept trailing after me and insisting I look at him. How lucky I am!
Oh, JayJay is adorable. He knew how to pick a good Mom. Good for you both!

What a handsome fella! Congratulations to you both on finding each other how big is he? He looks like an inquisitive adventurous travel companion. Velda
JayJay weighs 18 lbs. and is about 20" at the shoulders. He is Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix and 2 yrs old. Being from AZ everything here at the ocean was new(like grass) and scary to him(like things on the beach)but he now loves to play in the sand. He is curious about everything and has adjusted well. When I got him I wondered if he spoke English, but decided he just hadn't been taught simple commands. He decided right from the first day that he is my new head of security. Beastie played with Boomer and missed him, so I was happy to see him take to JayJay after the initial shock. They are very attached to each other now.
Kinda late, but wanted to get my congratulations in on Jay Jay picking you as his human. He looks like a fun addition to your home. And, he and the cat get along so well! That’s a plus! Nice to see you post. Lyn
