Back Yard Visitors

Postby mitch5252 » Fri May 15, 2009 5:22 pm

Been coming to our backyard for a few days now to the feeder and mineral lick...
Aren't they beautiful.
A nice end to a miserable afternoon.
(I drilled a hole straight through the trailer wall from the inside to the outside...I was just sick.)

Oh yes, they are beautiful, and oh no about drilling through the wall. You've reinforced my belief that I do nothing on exterior walls - other than using two-sided tape or the like. I'm terrified of doing that. But, now that it's done, get yourself some good caulk and fill that hole up!

They're beautiful.

I can understand about drilling a hole. I was putting up a shelf INSIDE and drilled two holes right thru the outside wall. GRRRRRR!! Have caulked the hole but you can see what I did. In my defense, I'm used to houses with 4" walls not 2".

Sorry about your mishap but you can fix it.

 Nope...an electric drill will never again cross the threshhold of The Mobile Marlin! I'm a "3M removeable sticky thing" convert, I'll tell ya that! I just don't think they're made strong enough to hold a drink holder...

Well, hope you all enjoy your Friday evening and the coming weekend. Seems like the weather may improve for many of us.

Your visitors are gorgeous. And when you mentioned your hole-in-the-wall, I wondered whether you could you take advantage by threading a wire for an outdoor thermometer or something through it. Or a large earring post?

(PS: I'm only laughing at my earring joke, not at you!!)

Nice pic of the deer.

And about that hole.... give it a few days it will scab over and heal up just fine. But may leave a scar! All kidding aside, Mitch, we've ALL done something like that. You just joined the club. Don't you fret. It's certainly fixable. Hang in there pal!

The first booboo on a brand new body is always the hardest! Fear not----if you are like the rest of us, there will be many more down the line! I like the idea of installing an indoor-outdoor thermometer through that hole---make good use of it, then calk it! If I dared, I would install one of those in my trailer!
