You will know when the time is right. I feel the same way - anybody want a pesky Bichon?

No!

Mitch, you need the pesky Bichon now for your trip to Alaska. Tie her up to the van and TT and have her learn to MUSH. MUSH Abby, Mush. She will earn her keep by pulling you up the mountains. (and running behind on the downward pass because you "forgot" to untie her. )

Good for you....I have been fostering dogs, some of which I have adopted, and I always go to seniors and the bullybreeds as they tend to be the most overlooked for some bad raps they have and also people assume senior dogs will be a big expense. It is heartbreaking with a senior as you know they will not have a long time with you, however, I feel that I can at least give them some dignity and safety for the time they have left. If you feel that those two dogs touched you in some way, go with your feelings.

You will definitely know when you are truly ready and the time is right.

Now, now Mitch. You know you couldn't give up your baby.
