T. Coleman du Pont's autocamper in 1911.
The car itself had a mattress stuffed with horsehair, a cook stove and ice box, storage space, and side curtains. The silk tents attached to the sides were for extra sleeping room when needed.
Du Pont funded the first paved highway in Delaware.
I'm getting such a kick out of this photo!
