This is the MH I intend to get when I close on our land and house. I have no idea what her name should be. Any suggestions?

Holy Cow, Dawn! I'm not sure about a name, but Taj Mahal comes to my mind as I look at those pics! That is one helluva motor home! It has more than most rooted houses I have ever been in! What a beauty!

LOl, Taj Mahol and Mansion seem pretty pretentious to me. That is definitely not me. I was thinking along the lines of Momma's Dream. That was what Chuck called me going full time. How does that sound?
We will be towing Mom's Kia because it has the lift for her mobility chair. It gets really good gas mileage too for sight seeing.

You'll know her name after you've driven her a few miles......

Nancy, that might just work. This was the floor plan that would give both of us privacy when we want/need it. Mom will have the front and if she does not feel good or whatever, she can close the doors and have her own area. Otherwise, it will be the livingroom until we call it a night. I looked at a whole bunch of floor plans and this was the one I thought would work for us.
Linda, nope, have never even driven a motorhome. I figure I might as well just jump right in.
Have pulled the pontoon boat with the pickup and that is a pretty long combination. I am going to try to take the Escapees driving course as soon as possible when we get on the road.

Wow! What a luxurious RV! Love the fireplace! You'll be traveling in high style! You sure are jumping in with both feet and then some!
You should name it something that has personal/sentimetal meaning to you.

Dawn, be sure you check that you can tow the Kia wheels down. Check the manual. There are a lot of cars with automatic transmissions that can't be towed wheels down without modifying the transmission with a disconnect. I bought my Chevy Cobalt because it was good to go wheels down. all I have to do is put it in neutral, put key in acc position, make sure emergency brake is off and pull the fuse so it doesn't rack up miles while towing. I also use a Brake Buddy for auxiliary braking. Do a search on this forum for "towing". I think we did a whole discussion it whats towable and whats not. There is a site that does list all towable cars.

Karen, I already checked and it cannot be towed wheels down. It will have to be towed on a dolly. I wish it could be done wheels down, but I don't have a choice in this. Paul will be towing his Saturn and it can be towed wheels down.

It really is beautiful.
Dawn, they can convert a car to be towable all wheels down. The tow dolly is less expensive, but if you're doing this for the long-term, I'd look into it. That tow dolly will get in your way sometimes when you park. My friend Molly added a hitch to the back of her non-towable all wheels down car - so that she can easily move the tow dolly when she needs to.
Just somethings to think about.
