Diva Daybed

Well, now that Seeker is level and I have a new Verizon phone that gets a signal way down here on the Chattahoochee, it's time to start those modifications I've been planning. Actually, I got started in KY at my cousin's farm. Her husband Jim, who I call Gem because he is so good to help me, unbolted the couch and together we got it out the door. Not really that heavy, just cumbersome. Next I ripped out some more of that awful beige carpet off the top of the slide platform. Amazing how thin the plywood flooring is over that platform. Went to Lowe's and found a large remnant of an indoor/outdoor carpet that is "beigey" and covered th slide floor with than then added a transistion strip. OK, Gem added the strip. I don't have the skillset or the tools for that. But I measured and cut the carpet and kept my fingers crossed and sure enough it fit just right. I have no table yet but the desk chair is there to sit on right now and when we are in motion I have a way to bungy strap it to keep it still. I also have a small printer stand that acts as a small desk till I find the table I want.

But today's mod was for Gus. I turned the dinette into my daybed, or should I say HIS although he does let me sit there some. I really like it and I did it all for under $50. Until I can figure out my photobucket problem you'll have to click on my blog to see the pix.

Oops, seems I also have a problem copying photos from my new Verizon phone to my blog. Drat, I hate learning curves, but I think it's fixed now.

I tried to use mine as my bed but I'm just a little too tall..5'7" and couldn't stretch. I took my short friend with me on a trip and she loved it. I was on the sofa where I always sleep. You really dressed it up, love the colors.

I love the changes - and love the colors! How bright and snazzy - for both you and Gus. I need your "Gem" to remake my sofa - would so much like to pull this one out and put in something different- but so far, haven't had the time. (OK, time is the wrong word - that I could find - the talent? Another story) My biggest danger is I don't want to screw up any of my under sofa storage! Someday - meantime, I'll keep watching what you do - cuz I like it all.

I really like what you did with the dinette!! Nice! The red quilt really brightens it up and adds to the cheerfulness.

You are doing a fine job of making your rig "yours". Very comfy and I like red accents also.
