I'm so enjoying reading posts and looking at everyone's photos!

I'll get around to completing my profile, but in the meantime here's our rig. It's a 2010 Montana 3585SA joyfully towed by our beastly Ford F350.

This is a view of where we currently are in New Jersey, just as the Autumn colors were kicking in in 2010.

I recognize that RV. I was just about to ask what a Texas Yellow Rose was doing in New Jersey when I realized that I already knew you from your blog. Welcome to the forum from a fellow blogger!

Sharon, actually we do mow it and get paid to do so! We use a zero-turn mower and it is loads of fun. Being a Texas gal, I like my yards. :D It is the biggest front/back yard I have ever had. Part of our duties here are groundskeepers, so we mow that plus a lot more. It's a Zen thing for me - music in my ears, barn swallows dancing around me as I mow - very cool. There's plenty of room for a garden and flowers, too!

Welcome Betty, I'm glad you have joined us. I looked at your blog and discovered you are a Reiki instructor and studied with William Rand! I'll be interested to hear how your online class is received. I also am a Reiki Master and a certified hypnotherapist. I combined the two a few years ago mostly because it takes so long to do a regular Reiki treatment and now find that it is called Hypno-Reiki and classes are offered at the International Hypnosis Federation retreats. I do online sessions with Skype and find it works well. Good luck to you in your venture.

I like your set-up.

Do they have sewage hook-up for you at your rv, or do you have to move it to dump?

Carolyn,

We are plumbed in, using PVC pipe instead of sewer hose. Although we have not moved the rig to go anywhere fun since arriving here, we did evacuate twice last year during Hurricane Irene and then Tropical Storm Lee. It was not really difficult getting lined up again with the help of a spotter.

We did a two-month relief gig in the Autumn of 2010 for the same company and, at that site, we had to use a macerator to dump our tanks. Again, that was no big deal and not "icky" at all.

Yep, I dump the tanks. Dave and I share tasks. He gets the "fun" things like inspecting the roof, etc.

Cheers!
