95 Sunline Solaris Travel Trailer

My husband and I picked up a used camper 3 summers ago -just to see if we liked camping.

Well, the good news is we love the freedom of traveling the country, with the convenience of bringing our home, our dogs, and so many more toys (golf gear, fishing gear, exercise stuff) than any other mode of transport. Since we now know we love it, we finally started making some updates inside our camper -so it works better for us.
Here is the before:
Image

We have removed the futon, since we don't have overnight guests. This gives us more room for dining -great table and office chairs from ikea are so much more comfortable -And double as comfy chairs... we have 2 storage footstools under the blue blanket and have installed a flatscreen tv in this area as well. My favorite update is, we removed the worn and dirty carpet in exchange for a high quality linoluem that is easy to keep clean and looks great!
And here is OUR current:

We fit a soft crate for our dogs to sleep in right under the ikea table:

We've been camping in PA since May and are planning to head south sometime in the next week or two. The dogs are ready now!

It is always good to make the space work for you....so much more functional and comfortable. I am a fan of getting seating that fits....I have long legs and really appreciate my adjustable height, IKEA, office chair that rocks back like a recliner :) Glad that you are heading for warmer worlds....... I will make it someday. :D

Sunshine, I removed the space so your first pic would show. If you want to, just click edit that's on thetop right side of your post and remove that space between jpg and [/img] and click preview and it should show that pic.

I think it's great how you and hubby have made your TT your own, to fit your specific needs. Good job posting pics and your avatar too!

Looks like you have a lot of space. I want to get rid of the carpet in my rv too. (It just collects dog& cat hair) Love what you did with your floor.

What a fun makeover. It's not easy making those small spaces work for you. Good job!

The little furbeasts are Cocoa (big giant head) and Kurumi. They are 6 year old creeper terriers and they love to travel. Somedays I wish they would bark a little less, but other than that, they are a joy.

Liz, I am 100% happy with our choice to remove the ratty old carpet! We were lucky enough to have a flooring guy who owed us a favor -he had a remnant of a quality linoleum that looks like wood flooring. This project cost us nothing!!! Despite the cost, it was a perfect choice for our camper as it is light weight and completely waterproof, whether the doggies have an accident or we have mud or water on our shoes... I've heard how wood floors add a lot of weight, pergo is not waterproof, and any flooring you put in has to be a little flexible... As we are from up north, we did decide that carpet runners were needed to keep the tootsies warm --we chose a machine washable which we found at Walmart for less than $15 each.

Looks great! It's on my list to do, but also need new tires before next big trip. Guess I should get the tires first.

Wow, you and hubby did a great job making your 'home on wheels' more homey! Love the flooring allot.
Your furbabies are adorable. I've not heard of that breed before. Thanks for learning to post pictures for us!
