Someone has a new rig!

Postby BarbaraRose » Thu Apr 13, 2017 3:49 pm

Me! I got the Keystone Springdale trailer for $7500 and put $500 down. Will pick it up in two weeks after the closing on the house.
It is awesome inside, very clean and hardly looks used at all! The couch and bed both seem very comfortable. It was well cared for. Tires are very recent. Comes with 2 batteries (one brand new), hoses etc, and a sway bar. I took the manual home with me to look over. Lots to learn!! It does weigh more than I thought so can't pull it with my Liberty. Will start looking for a bigger tow vehicle soon. He said he will bring it up here and park it for me, so I also need to figure out where that will be! I have a few options for that.

Unfortunately, my camera was acting up (time for a new one!) and only got about half of the photos I took with it. But got enough for you to get an idea of what the inside looks like. It is surprisingly roomy and doesn't feel cramped at all. Lots of storage too.

I will have all summer to play with it and learn about how everything works and get it personalized the way I want, before heading west in the fall.

I am very excited!! :D

I can bake my cookies!..

I will use the top bunk for storage (probably clothes)...

none of the photos of the couch came out but this is a corner of it...

This goes all the way to the other side. There is another outside bin that is large that is under the bed area.

Congrats Barbie - fun times ahead for you and Lola. Does it have a slide like you wanted?

No slide but has the couch that I wanted, and is very roomy inside.

The cushions are more of a lighter beige and brown color than it looks in the photos. They aren't that dark and orange looking. My camera was really acting up today. I took about 30 photos and only about 10 actually showed up on my SD card. (I just ordered a new one tonight).

I have been looking on line for storage and decorating ideas. Have gotten pretty creative with things I have found. Will post photos when I get things done in there. Lots of cool ideas swirling around in my head!

I am going to see if I can park it at the house where I will be living this summer. She has a lot of land and maybe if I offer to pay a little extra each month, she might let me park there. That would be super convenient! Will check tomorrow.

Congratsulations Barbie. I inow yo will have fun decorating. Go into FB and key RV Storage ideas into the Find People, Places etc., That a wealth of info site. You can sign up to join as it's a closed group, and once in, can post and ask or answer questions etc. some of the ideas people have are very creative.

Now keep your eye out for the proper tow vehicle. If you are still around MN in late Sept., maybe you can come down to the IL GTG and those of us there can help you with different things like hitching, unhitching, backing, you name it. Don't hesitate to ask questions on here. Have fun...
