I prefer impromptu 'happenings' more than planned events/trips too - so cool that you are 'living the life' & comfortable enough to strike out on your own while hubby works. 
My son just bought a house in La Mirada so especially excited to see there is a Camping World there - scoped it out & it's only 3 miles from their house. Guess I know where I'll be camping out when I go visit them.
Please keep the posts coming... I think we all enjoy tagging along with each other & none of us take up much room.
