It is not brand new but i love it any ways. it is a 1994.
It has not even been cleaned yet....I plan to redo the decor.
I will post when I am finished before and afters.

What a nice 5'er. LOVE the kitchen setup and looks like it's well-maintained. You'll have many fine adventures in her AND share pictures and stories with us, because we love to travel vicariously.

Thank you because I HAVE NO IDEA what I am doing...Like do I need a stabilizer under the thing when I am not hooked to my truck ? My slide does it have locks so it does not slide out going down the road at 65mph ? These are some of my dumb ??? lol

you do not need a stabilizer under the front hitch or even under the slides.
It sometimes can even be damaging to the unit if you put those stabilizers
under them, I had that same question when I first got mine as someone
tried to sell me some.
The slide part, when the slide is pulled in it should sort of "lock" itself in place.
Some older units came with rods (like fat boomsticks) to put inside to hold
it in during travel, but the newer units no longer need that.
Don't forget to check the date on the tires, the manufacturing date is on the
sidewall where you see what size it is, for safety, you should be within 6 or 7
years of manufacture date and of course show good rubber.
Did it come with sewer hose and all that stuff? Cruise through some of the old
posts and you'll get an idea of what you need and don't necessarily need.

I will look to see about the slide....Yes it is a 30.5 (those .5 inches count ) I got all new hoses and a water regulator ?? not sure what it is called from water coming in the rig the pressure changes. and yes people are trying to sell me a stabilizer for the front. All my tires are new.

For some of the technical questions - I highly recommend the rv.net forum. Some of the guys will occasionally want to make us women look stupid. But we know better and just ignore those idjits. But the high numbers of members of that forum mean almost always there's someone to know exactly what you're asking. I don't have a clue if you need the stabilizers you're asking about - maybe one of the other ladies does - but I'm sure tons of them over there would give you the yeas and nays (and, yep, there will be both sides) and then you can weigh which side you fall on.

You'll need pads under the leveling jacks, but I've been parked for 3 years without a
stabilizer under my front. My rig is a 29'
We have another Lori (member) and she has a fifth wheel, wonder if she uses stabilizers.
The regulator for the hose is so you don't get too high water pressure from some of the
campgrounds that will blow out a water line in your rig and it keeps the water going in
and not siphoning back into the city water supply . I also use a $20 water filter that
attaches to my hose for my water supply, good for about 6 months, and I get that at
walmart.

Neat place! From one Laurie to another...you go girl!!!! Look forward to seeing your pictures of your reno. Hubby and I have "flipped" 3 previous houses and 1 TT. It is fun and love that "sweat equity"!

Great looking rig, Lori! Have fun making it your own! The ladies on here have a wealth of knowledge and suggestions, and, as Beth mentioned, RV.net also is a great spot to seek many opinions.....sometimes too many and very confusing, but you learn to sift through them and take the ones worth keeping!
