Well girls, this might be a first on the forum...First I want to report on the state of my health. I had posted about my flu, pneumonia, hospital stay and then my fainting in the gravel in front of my RV while trying to get groceries in the house. I am doing fine, healing in all respects, even got new lens for my glasses as they were still in warranty. I might have a little scar on my nose but I'm using Vit E. I am a little anxious in one area..My lab results didn't look too good, abnormal in many areas but I will get them checked at end of month...my Dr says it might be the recent hospital stay getting pumped full of antibiotics plus trying to get my electolytes leveled out. The main thing is I feel better and stronger every day.
Now, to explain the subject; I am moving back into my house. I walk down to it all the time...not many people looked at it during the winter which was par for our area. I also mentioned my brother who has had a very rocky marriage (she is sick, chronically anorexic and spends about 12 weeks a year in a clinic)..She moved out about 3 months ago (about the 10th time she has done this in 11 years of marriage). Amazingly Hogan, 10, seems to be the most resilient child ever..grades near perfect, shows leadership abilities, Athletic, ( I love to brag on him). He is so loyal to both parents..He doesn't like where his mom lives and much prefers his time at his dad's, which is his real home. Doug wouldn't go for custody, he felt it would kill her. Doug has just retired from the post office. He will have a good retirement but you can imagine what a dent there will be going to her. We made the decision that he would rent his house and come live with me for a year or two while he adjusts and eventually gets another parttime job or even a small business. Hogan has always loved to come to my house. Doug will put him up a basketball goal as basketball is his favorite sport. My driveway is big and has a level area which will work well. We think as soon as the papers are signed she will be off to another clinic. She is thinner than she has ever been. She lost two babies because of her anorexia, both what they call waterhead (unformed brain). They lived a few hours. We think she can't forgive herself and it's slowly literally killing her. Doug would have stayed by her side because of Hogan. She is a drill sergeant with him, just kills me when I witness it. He seems to let it slide off like a duck's back.
As for my RV, it will stay here at Tony's and I think I will keep using it occasionally. Tony will use it for weekend trips and Doug and I are already making plans to take Hogan on some trips. I won't be a full timer but I am glad I got this one, it's affordable to keep and also my house.
Another bit of news ( I know this is getting long) is I have sold the Aquarium rental part of my business. Mel has moved on to greener pastures with a new woman attached. I am happy for him. He closed the store but toward the end (he sold all the live animals) a couple came in and they are interested so I will meet them today to see what their interest is. Please keep your fingers crossed for this to come to pass also. The Pet Store was doing so well until Mel literally lost interest (this is his history). That's my story and I'm sticking to it unless I change my mind (remember 'prerogative') Ha Ha
I love all you girls and am so happy I found this forum in August 2010.
