Leather Belt Making in La Noria

Yesterday we drove inland a ways to the little town of La Noria it is known for it's leather work. We visited our friend there who has a leather shop. While there I watched him make several leather belts. Took some pictures and a short video of him. http://lifeinbrowncounty.blogspot.com
Don't know what we'll be doing today but it should be fun - beautiful out today and no chores needing to be done.

Wow! I was thinking "I need to find out how they get 44 MPG with there Jeep since I only get 19!" However, I read on and discovered the truth... Oh well...

Loved the video, Carol. You could sure tell he had made a lot of belts. I could not believe how fast he was at getting the pattern on the leather. I would not drive at night either.
