Any recommendations for a RV park in PHoenix. After 5 nts in dust DH wants a nice resort style for next stop. I will be visiting with family (introducing DH for 1st time  ). Anyone have a good suggestion??

My favorite place to stay in Phoenix is McDowell Regional park in fountain city. Water and electric and glorious views but not a resort. Otherwise I stay in a casino lot or one of the other regional parks. Good luck.

I really do recommend McDowell though, and love Fountain City.

Thank you. Will check it out :P I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to get over to say good bye. I really enjoyed spending time with all of you. Thank you so much.

for resort style, http://www.roadrunnerlakeresort.com/
the phone number is on the website, it is a 55+ community rv snowbird resort, about half is park models and other half is motorhomes
McDowell Mtn Regional Park is fabulous, its outside of Fountain Hills and if you go through Fountain Hills take time to watch the fountain
erupt, it goes every hour on the hour, its the tallest fountain in the world.

It also is not a resort type RV park, but Usery Mountain Regional Park is just north of the city of Mesa and in the middle of the Sonoran desert. It has large gravel spots and electric and water that are well-separated from one another. Many sites also have a view of the city in the distance because it is on a slope above the city.

No pool or such amenities, but a place I plan to return to and stay another week. One of my favorite campgrounds for nature and desert birds.

Thank you for your suggestions. We tried McDowell regional park, but they will not take reservations the day of and had on a couple spots....and they had no pull throughs. DH was itching to shoot clay pigeons so we are parked up at the Ben Avery shooting center. Owned and operated by the state. HUGE, new facility. The skeet and trap range have full hookups (w sewer) in a parking lot fashion. Lots of space between spots. The other side is the rifle side and they have a campground style place with back in spots with water and electric only. This is about 10 miles north of ASU. Nothing special, except we are out in the desert with nothing around, yet close to town to visit with friends and relatives

Bonus :P While walking Tyler yesterday evening 6 hot air balloons launched from right across the street. It was so awesome. One of the other campers said they do it many nights if the wind is right. I hope they do it again tonight so I can get pictures. :P

We had early morning balloon launches at Dead Horse Ranch - wish they had been just a little closer so I could have gotten some better photographs.
