electric toothbrush

I am not on the road or even have my rig yet but I wonder about my electric plug in toothbrush. Do any of you just keep it plugged in and not worry about battery drain (I plan to do a lot of boondocking) OR should I just use a hand operated brush? Thoughts?

I do not recommend leaving it plugged in when not connected to power. It won't charge, but it can drain the battery.

I use a battery one also. Usually have to pick up a new one when I leave Ohio as it is the item voted most likely to be left behind. (from experience!)

I use a portable electric toothbrush that uses one triple A battery that lasts seemingly forever! No charging needed, unless you have some rechargable batteries that you can charge when you are plugged in somewhere. There are many brands made now, and they are cheap as heck at most stores----especially WalMart. I don't know if I have had to change my battery in mine more than once. It helps, too, if you get one that has replacable brushes----some do, some don't....as the brushes wear out faster than the batteries. Find the kind that has two sections in the brush that BOTH turn and spin----much better cleaning than just the one. I keep one of these in the camper and one here and a spare in the truck!

Looks to me as if you could use a "NO-NO" too, Mitch! I am seriously considering getting one of those. Anyone ever tried one? (In case you have never seen the ads for these doohickeys, they are electronic hair removers.)

I use a Sonicare - has to be put on the charger from time to time, but it also holds a charge for quite some time. Not a big deal as you have to run the generator from time to time or if you are moving just plug it into an inverter. Two of us managed last summer in Alaska and we boondocked most of the time.

I use a Sonicare. I charge it when I am connected to shore power and it runs a long time before needing to be charged again. But I do not leave it plugged in all the time.
Mitch I am so glad you stopped smoking and chewing before I met you. So happy that your toothbrush has helped so much.
