Was wondering if anyone could tell me some things I will need on my
shake down trip (looks like it will be GTG) Do I need to fill up with
water before I leave? I have propane but have not used it yet. I just
dont know what I need :( I got some wood scraps 2X4's for camp fire.
Help!
Thanks donna aka grammynmaggie

Florida campsites have water onsite,so be sure to bring your water hose. Just be sure before you go in to dump your tanks. Other than that, bring jeans, shirts, jackets, good walking shoes, socks. Whatever food fits your fancy. Make sure your propane is full, just in case the temps drop. Never know this time of year. Have blankets available for your use. A lightweight camp chair so we can follow the crowd. A carry along, cup, plate and silverware so your can go where ever the food is at. Then relax and enjoy.

We're all different with whether or not to full the water tank. I like mine full. Others never use theirs. Its all so personal... And with each trip you make you'll discover just what you need and wasn't.

Donna, if you were planning a trip for this time of year, by car, what would you take for clothing and personal items ? Toothpaste, brush , etc ? Have you put a pot or two in your RV? At least one cup, plate , fork, spoon, knife ? A towel or so for showers ? Bedding, and a good cover for possible cold nights ?? A chair for around the campfire and a heavy coat, which might be needed ?. You have propane. Water and elect will be on your site.

Other then a nice smile and joining in the fun, nothing else is NEEDED. Your food offering is entirely your choice. A casserole, baked item, dips and chips. We do have one definite breakfast and evening meal beginning of GTG, we eat on left overs and dishes that some add as week goes by. We do eat together often during the week, actually it's visiting and stuffing our faces which we're all fairly good at LOL. You will want some things to eat in your frig and cabinets in case we are all off doing hikes, shopping etc so you can feed yourself.

I'm so sorry you are so uptight about this, be sure you have your personal needs and even those some of us would pitch in and help. You are joining in some fun with the nicest ladies you will ever meet, we don't judge, you forget something. One of us probably has another. Don't sweat the petty stuff, just come and enjoy. It's a fact after this GTG you will know what you want to take, NOT THAT YOU WON'T FORGET SOMETHING THOUGH

Hope this calms you some and you can just enjoy the time looking forward to the GTG. It's such fun, RELAX !!!!!

CArol :)

You do have a dumping hose, and a water hose for your RV??? Blocks to level? If you don't have those I have plenty will be glad to share. Other items for our RVs all vary and you can pick up a lot of info at GTG, and decide what you need or not ect..

Everybody has said it better than I could!

If you take meds each day, bring those for sure. Just imagine yourself going through your day, and pack what you think you will use. Unlike Beth, I never carry water in my tanks unless I am boondocking-----which means being out in the boonies with no power, water, septic, or anything. It makes so much sense to me to travel lighter with the price of gas being what it is. Leveling blocks in case of uneven ground are always handy, if you have them. A crank to lower your stability jacks after you park, if you have those.

Most of all, as others have said, relax and imagine a wonderful vacation with women who are super fantastic! See ya in about a momth now!
