We are in El Fuerte inland from the beach - and pretty hot here. Staying at an RV place that is a hotel. We get our electricity by plugging into an outlet in one of the rooms. also just found out the boiler is broken so there is no hot water for the hotel. Luckily we have our own facilities.
Posted a couple of updates. Actually 3. One about our trip here - Up a tractor path. The highway was under construction so had to take a detour - kind of.
And one post about the little town. http://lifeinbrowncounty.blogspot.com I checked the spelling this time.
tomorrow we leave for Mazatlan

Carol, Absolutely LOVE your trip posts. Glad you survived 'the road' :D - some of those turns were amazing!
I've been on 'death road' in Bolivia (only as a passenger mind you) & pulling over to let oncoming vehicles pass is standard there. Drivers actually switch sides of the road so the driver traveling down the mountain is on the left side. They must stop for approaching vehicles pulling as close to the edge as possible allowing vehicles traveling up the mountain to proceed. It takes over 4 hours to go 35 miles. Your adventure of stopping & letting the oncoming cars pass you reminded me of those trips - thank goodness you weren't in the mountains!
Love seeing all the sights. Truly appreciate the time & effort to post these.
Hoping for continued safe travels for you...
Catherine :D

Love all the colors in those Mexican towns. You caught that sombrero picture just right. In fact your artist's eye is evident in all your pictures. Thanks.

You are certainly proving that no matter how many trips you make to Mexico, new adventure awaits...I agreed that Bill did earn a nice nap after that little cowpath road.

Catherine - we were on roads in Peru and Argentina in a motorhome in 1978 when we took a 24 foot Class A from So California to Argentina where we changed sides of the road to pass and be passed and had barely enough room between the mountain and the drop off to pass. Some breath holding momemts for sure.
You can read about our trip at http://movingon1.com we took our kids with us and took off for a year. Quite an adventure. Being MUCH older now I find it a little unnerving - The Driver takes it in stride.
What on earth were you doing on that road in Bolivia - I've seen pictures of it. EGAD.
