DINAH ON PHENOBARBITAL AND SEEMS FINE.

A quick update and thank you all for your words of wisdom yesterday. I suspect she would be fine anyway, as if she had another seizure back in FL when I first met her, she never had another one for 6 months. However, I am keeping her on the phenobarb for a while.

Another turn of events here----Joe's father was rushed to the hospital last night with chest pains and something wrong with his heart. He and Mandy and Orion just went to visit him and Joe's two grandmothers who are also hospitalized for other things! They will ship the father to another larger hospital tomorrow for a cardiac catheterization.

My job is to hold down the home front, answer calls, take care of all four dogs, and try to stay warm as the temperature plummets here in the rain.

Lots to do and so little time. Mandy and I had a great morning with Oey and discussing teaching practices of the day, reciting favorite poems, and recalling the happy days of her childhood here in the mountains. I miss her so much when she is not here, as I miss my son also. Sigh----sentimental day so far.

Hope you all take the time to appreciate your loved ones as often as possible.

Glad to hear Dinah is doing okay and the kids are lucky to have you there to help out on the home front. That's a lot of family members in the hospital at one time.

FYI... My daughters dog started having
said to watch dog treats, they seem to

we now only use temptations cat treats
for our dogs.

What kind of dog treats? Because I had given Dinah a different kind of dog bone/treat that day she had the seizure. But the above doens't make any sense to me----looks as if words are missing?

I don't have access to the list anymore. My English cocker forum posted the brands. Check where the dog treats are made. Do not use any of those made in china....that is agood start. And you may be surprised how many of the attractive looking brands are manufactures in china.

After hearing the warnings on dog treats I started checking on where they are made. Some of the bags say who they are distributed by but not where they were made. If they can't tell me where they are made I'm not buying them. I think the main one to avoid is the chicken jerky.

Glad Dinah is doing better. Sure do hope that all the family members get better soon. When it rains, it pours it seems for you. Get some rest as you can.

I happy to hear that Dinah is doing better. Ozzie had an episode with puparonni (sp) treats recently. It seems he has developed an allergy to them, which made him really break out in hives and just be so miserably itchy for about 2-3 days. He's had the treats before, but this batch must be different. Anyway, I know his outcome was not as bad as a seizure, but the reason may be the same. I guess we need to be more diligent in checking labels. Hugs to Dinah and her "mom". Linda
