My "owieee!" needs a kiss ...

I changed campsites yesterday after my camping loop closed, and I added an experience to my learning curve. As I was backing into my new site, one of the #!@$&% rocks that line the road jumped out and bit the front bumper.  Then a guy who was "helping me" set up dumped a bunch of sewage on the ground -- and himself. I don't have good experiences with male "help."

The up side -- I'm done working for the summer and can stay until the snow flies, if I want. During that time, I need to do a few things, then I'll drop the RV off at my son's house and head to southern Utah.

I also found a place to stay in Salt Lake City when I want to head back north. I'll be renting a room from my sister-in-law, so it's a win-win for both of us.

Yikes! Gotta watch those rocks, they have a vicious streak to them! I had one that ran across the road and bit Hope just behind the front steps up in Bishop a few years ago! Poor baby! And bet that guy that was "helping" you learned a hard lesson in what to watch for when you're dumping! Those dump "snakes" have a vicious streak too, and have been known to jump up and try to run away with a full belly!

Ouch! Don'tcha just hate those rocks and posts that jump out at you! Are you going to fix it yourself? I have been toying with getting a fiberglass kit and some bondo to try to fix my booboo without having to call insurance agent.

You might ask a local body shop how much of it can be rubbed out and what it might cost to fix it. Sometimes some of the surface scrape can be reduced in appearance.

I have a "Flush King" elbow on it (because my black tank valve leaks) in an odd position and he thought he'd "reposition" it for me. Shoulda warned him. But hey! His problem. He now has something to tease me about and we have many adjectives to describe the event.

The last man I accepted help from cost me about $250 in repairs. So I'm just gonna do it myself from now on.

... and JudyB ... look more carefully ... the fiberglass is ripped. It still may be able to just be repaired, not replaced.

The only boo boo on my other rig was when a man was "helping" me. After that I just say "no thank you, I have a routine".
