Made up our Minds

Finally made up our minds - all it had to do was get below 50 once here in Indiana already. We will be going back to Mexico for the winter. Barring any unforeseen circumstances. All the usual places and hopefully a few places we haven't been for a couple of years. Like El Fuerte and Guanajuato. Maybe Guadalajara and Queretero
Bill is ready to leave now. The cold (60 degrees) is really bothering him this year. He thinks it is because of a couple of the pills he is on now since the heart attack. I don't want to leave here until around end of October. Then the drive across country and into MX through Arizona sometime end of November or first of Dec.
We will go pick up the Alfa next week so he can do some maintenace in it before we take off. Wants to put a flat screen TV in it and rehook up all the electronics and get rid of the HughesNet stuff. Still have the satellite dish for the TV.

I know Mark is on a bunch of blood thinners since his heart attack and he's always cold, which is not a good thing since I'm always hot! He piles on the blankets and I have a fan to blow on me.

Sounds like you will have a busy couple of months getting ready and treking across country.

Think it's unanimous!!! we are all excited to be going to Mexico...and I am also hoping that we will be able to meet up in AZ as well
Hoping to be able to go down the first part of Nov...my grandson says dec grandma I say no it's so ify with snow he understood but is going to be in
a play so was hoping...If it wasn't for a few things coming up I'd want to go now but will wait till then....

I love Mexico! Unfortunately life has not given me the opportunity to travel there yet, so i go thru your blogs! I feel I'm right there with you when I read your postings. Glad you're going again this winter. Look forward to seeing new places.

Are there any dangers with you going to México with the drug cartels fighting each other? I would worry about Americans being targets. Just read today about 7 bodies found dismembered in the back of a pickup not all that far from Guadalajara. You seem to be experienced travelers but worry about you being safe.
