A Women's RV Forum run by Women RVer's!

The Southwest RV Show here in Dallas is this weekend - I'm so excited, I finally get to go 'shopping'!!! Anyway, I have a question for you veteran RVers. There is a seminar called '5 Things You Need to Know Before You Buy an RV' given by Terry Cooper, “The Texas RV Professor”. I'm curious what those things might be, and whether I really need to sit through his presentation. Ideas? Comments? Suggestions? Has anyone heard of Mr. Cooper?

Details: The seminar is given only on Friday and Sunday and I could go either day. The admission price is $5 less on Thursday but the seminar isn't presented on that day. I'd like to save money if possible, but I also want this to be an information gathering venture. I guess what I'm asking is whether you think it would be beneficial to attend the seminar. No idea how long it will be.

Depending on the cost of the seminar if you have time, you could get a lot of information from various posts on this forum and then go to RV.net forum and check out this page where it says RV Buyers Guide. http://www.rvbg.com/ Do you have an idea of what you want?

If you Google "The Texas RV Professor", you will find quite a few entries on him. He taught RV technicians in Waco and appears to give seminars as well videos and books.

If you go see him - you can tell us what HIS 5 things are - then we'll all add our own

Some of the seminars I've attended have been awesome. Some have not been. Of course, to begin with, I believed every word they all said - then I learned differently. Just like everything else - some of it's great, some good, some not so good, etc. I've heard good things about him, but never attended any of his seminars.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'm going to go ahead and go to the show on Friday and attend his (free) seminar. I'll be interested to hear what he has to say, and I'll post a summary when I get home. I'm wearing my walking shoes because I know I'll be on my feet all day
