Can't remember who said that, but I must obey!!!! I do a walk thru tomorrow for my 2000 RoadTrek! It's had two owners, both here in FL, excellent carfax report, and the local Dodge dealer inspected the engine/chassis and said it was "a sound vehicle." Tomorrow, two hours of running the genny while we complete the walk thru and all instructions....Oh, you all know that drill!
Back to my "HarBor"--my name for my rig (will explain that in time)--tires from 09 (no dry rot or cracks), battery 12/11, CLEAN, I personally checked the belts/hoses in the engine--no dry rot there either, DID NOT kick the tires!!!! and like everybody said, I KNEW it was the ONE for me. Just felt so good to drive, even though I only drove 2 others. Thinking I could drag this search on forever looking for the "best" deal--the rig felt right, and the deal is very acceptable to me. All buyers would like to pay less than they have to, right?? But NO buyer's remorse at all--yet???? And I'm really happy to have the 17ft--just me and my two med/sm dogs. We'll have plenty of room. The mileage is higher than I wanted, but my parents got over 100K on their Dodge class C back in the 70's/80's/90's. Dealer is paying for my tow dolly to get my little Nissan back to NY with me, plus a few other perks to sweeten the deal....OMG, once I get started talking, I can't stop!!!!
So ladies, thanks for all your support, for allowing me to share my excitement with all of you, and especially to share with another "newbie"--not to take away from Catherine's big day TODAY, but to sweeten our shared experience! What "timing" is that, that we're both here in FL getting our first RV's just a day apart???? Like I said--watch out for the AirStream and the RoadTrek (towing a Nissan) heading north outta FL!!!! Carol B...and I'll figure out how to get a pic on my profile one of these days--plus pix of my traveling companions, April and Tigger!
