New Steps, Hopefully!!

An update to my saga with the door that would not latch and the stairs that deployed when I was driving through Rocky Mountain National Park. As you may remember, my motorhome is new and under warranty. I had been driving west and trying to get a dealer somewhere on the way to fix my door. I obviously did not like driving alone without a door that properly locked, but could not get a dealer that would fix it without 2-3 weeks notice, even though I complained to Fleetwood customer relations. The steps were badly damaged and I had to drive back 10 miles to my campsite with them extended, but I managed to get a mobile repair guy and an auto repair shop to bang them back into shape the next day so they would at least retract and I could drive that way, but they look terrible. After hysterics with Fleetword Customer Relations, I made an appointment at the closest dealer to my son's house in California for Aug 6 to "evaluate" the stairs and door, and a dozen other warranty issues and fix as many as possible. They agreed I should get new steps, plus a new door because it did not seem repairable. Fleetwood customer relations was also on the phone with me and them that day. Everyone knew I was leaving California for Grand Canyon on Aug 23.
So, they did that on Aug 6. They also documented all of the other problems I had been having and fixed a lot of them--at least those that didn't need parts--which was important to me so I would have a record at least of what had gone wrong. (Too many issues to even list here.) Got a call yesterday that the "parts" had been approved by Fleetwood, and would arrive in 4-5 days, plus they got permission to at least tear the door apart to try to figure out why the deadbolt only had 1/4 inch of throw. The "parts" include a brand new steps of steps!! Yea! Now I don't have to park my rig in the factory parking lot next November and storm into their offices!!! Also need a rubber gasket for inside of oven and new shower door handle.
The other big issue is the large hole in a kitchen cabinet caused by a drawer opening and closing constantly and bashing the hole. It needs a new latch or a double latch or something, but I don't know what the fix is for that. I have been putting my dirty clothes bag and a pillow there to stop more damage, but that is a pain to have to do.
I don't care when stuff is fixed, as long as it gets fixed. (The door was adjusted slightly and at least latches and locks now, but I don't trust it if I were to hit a bump, so I have been bungee cording it and using velcro strapping to fasten it to the inside grab bar just in case when I drive.) So keep your fingers crossed that everything will get fixed before Aug 23!
