Traveling to Valdez and The Worthington Glacier

Postby BirdbyBird » Wed Aug 01, 2012 11:50 pm

Am finally slowing down enough to post some pictures. Nan and I are boondocking outside of Valdez hoping to get a view of Mamma bear and her cubs. Unfortunately Momma is not a "union" bear and follows her own schedule. But if not tonight maybe tomorrow!

Great post. I've been waiting to see your feet on the glacier!

Great pictures and story. Looks like you've been having a great time. I'm looking forward to visiting Valdez too. Hope Beth isn't sick of company by then, haha.

That looked like fun but also a little scary..sinkholes, slippery ice, wheee :o Did you see any of the other people wearing golf shoes? I remember them saying the commercials about sparkling clean as a glacier or something like that is not accurate. They are full of dirt and rocks. I guess you confirmed this when you got up close and personal but not too much so, thank goodness!
