can't find a certain link/blog

Postby avalen » Fri Jul 20, 2012 1:55 pm

a couple months ago one of the forum ladies posted about a trip to the coast, somewhere around Florida or maybe it was Georgia or NC.
could have even been Lousianna but it was somewhere south and east of me
ANYHOOO..............I thought I bookmarked it and wanted to do some research etc, but now I can't find it, and can't remember who went
there and what it was even called. The blog was fabulous, lots of pictures, there was a fort with history of course of the early days
and LOTS of beautiful pure white sand. She said it wasn't snow, it was sand. Does anyone know what blog I'm talking about? Its driven me
nuts cause I really wanted to put it on my bucket list. Have searched over the last 3 months of womenrv posts and can't even find a clue.
I would be so grateful if anyone could help me remember what post it was.

I googled historical forts along the coast and found Ft Pike, did anyone go there recently? The pics on the website look similar
to the ones on the blog I read.

I'm not so nice. But will be just this once.

Colleen will be happy to hear you enjoy her blog. And I'm glad you found it.

Thank you for the compliments Ava. I'm very glad you enjoyed my blog. I'm just finishing up some posts on a weekend camping trip to Ochlockonee River State Park and Wakulla Springs State Park, two other great places to visit.

Colleen - Sure looks like you all were having a great time. Your granddaughter sure is pretty. How old are the kids now?

Morgan (girl) is 6 and Cameron (boy) is 8. It has been a lot of fun being here with them while they are with their dad this summer (6 weeks) but it can wear a person out too. They have a lot of energy and their mother doesn't seem to have the best grasp on making them listen and behave so we have to work on that. She gets them back tomorrow so it will be a rough day for their dad. He will be in San Antonio for Labor Day which is the next time he gets them (once a month since he lives in Florida). As soon as he gets moved to Texas, he will get them 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekends as the kids live about 4 hours from San Antonio where he will live.
