Short trip today....160 miles today cause the 5er has an appointment at the factory service department tomorrow morning....So we're in a CG about a half a mile from the factory. We're staying until Weds. as it looks like an interesting little town to visit.....Hotter than all "blazes" here....so we're in the 5er with the A/C going watching the race.....

Send us lots of pics of the area. I hope the issues with the 5'er are quickly fixed but being in an interesting place will make the time pass quickly.

Glad you're safely landed - one question - can't they put you up - with electric - at the factory? Most will when you come in for repairs. But maybe they aren't open on Sunday?

They do have w/e hookups at the service center, but usually reserve them for rigs that have to "stay over night" for a "repair in progress" thing....meaning that you can stay there, if they need you right back the next morning early....It's okay with us as we planned a 3 night stay....Shipshehanna is a "mini Lancaster, PA" area with many Amish in the area with shops, stores, eateries, etc. along with a weekly flea & produce market....and we've scheduled a tour of the Open Range Factory on Tues....the "main plant" & service center building are separate, but both are about 2 miles from the campground we are. So we're good.... ;) And you are correct, they aren't open on Sunday...

UPDATE: All went well at the Open Range Service Center. New Potty, new window shade, fixed drawers and landing gear....almost like new again....tomorrow we're taking the "factory tour"....leaving Weds. morning for Rapid City, SD....Ernie's got us on a schedule, so won't be able to visit with Pat this time....darn, darn (the closest we'll be is Reliance, SD)... :( Hopefully the next time thru...

So glad all your fixes got done and you are commencing your Western adventure again. Maybe the next time you are up that way, Earnie won't have you on such a schedule.  Nothing like a Sultan

Lori - Do you think you will order a new 5er after touring the plant?? I enjoyed touring the Monaco plant in Oregon (a few years ago) especially seeing how they do the full body paint on the MHs

Linda....we bought our present 5er from Open Range last year, brand new...and just love it!!! They have a 2 yr. warranty on new campers, so we are here for our 1 yr. check-up...these folks really care about their customers and made us feel welcome and part of the family while we are here....so, yes, we would buy another 5er from them again, but not for a few more years...Our tour is in an hour, so will let cha' all know how it went later...
