Headed eastward

Tomorrow is my last day here in the Houston area. It's been a nice visit this summer...but we've sure had some rain! No flooding here like what Red has had, but some gully gushers for sure. I'll leave here Monday morning ( if the rain gods will hold back while I get hooked up) and head to the Natchez Trace. Not sure how long I will wander. Guess it all depends on what I find to see along the way. The cats have settled into a routine, so they will be a little upset when the wheels start rolling again. Bailey is fine either way. Oh, and I was able to get my radio to work again! I'm happy about that because driving alone without any music was not something I was looking forward to!

Doubt my adventures will come anywhere close to what the Alaska ladies are experiencing. But if I find some interesting things, I'll try to post some pictures.

Sharon, when are you planning to make it to the Tennessee area? I'd love to meet up with you, if possible.

Zee, keep that dang Murphy with you...maybe lock him in one of your bays! Or better yet, pass him off to some unsuspecting character along the way!

Happy trails everyone.

Paulette, probably not for 3 or 4 weeks, I haven't even left home yet. Still trying to get out of here, but I'm hoping for Tues. I need to call Carolyn and see how long ahead I need to make a reservation at her place. I'm already running out of time and I'm still here!!

If my grandson wasn't here for the month I would follow you up the Trace. That's one of the trips I want to make sometime.

Red, I just read your signature again..why can't you use your mustang as a toad? maybe a car hauler..don't know much about that but wouldn't you have fun running around the country and then sightseeing in your mustang.

Chris, I'd love to have you along. Sometimes traveling alone is, well, lonely! Martha, would love to have you along too, but enjoy that grandson. They grow up so fast!

Checked with sir rand(the gps) and looks like he will be taking me across I-10 this time out. Last year he took me up 45 out of the area. Ah well, it will be an adventure any way ya look at it. Should get to Natchez around dinner time. Of course, that is if I get up and get moving at a reasonable hour of the morning. I've become quite the slug of late, and sit around in my pjs much longer than a person should!

Nan, my red pony is too show quality to drive much and the insurance only allows to drive for parades, shows, repair, etc. but it would be fun.
