While looking for how to resize photos on the iPad version of Photobucket (can't be done; have to use another program. I couldn't even do it with Photoshop Express for iPad. I downloaded a free (or very cheap) program called iResize.), I came across this tip. I like it...

There is a very good free photo editor, also - would imagine you could download it to an IPad - http://pixlr.com/editor/

I was using it to make coloring book pages - can do them easier on it than on my paid for program :(

I needed to teach someone how to make them. And learned they are great for people's grandkids, etc - they can take shot themselves, then make them into coloring book pages. It's neat. Good thing I don't have kids and grands - it's something even I can do lol

You just gave me a reason to not get an iPad. And I didn't even pay attn to that editor having flash involved.

Sheila, if there is an Apple store close to you, they might be able to help.

Am not a texter, and don't want to pay for it, so I love the fact that I can iMessage to other iPads and iPods for free and can send pics and do it with multiple people at same time. I need wifi to do it, but since I have mifi in the rig (and can take it with me) that's not a problem. There's so much I don't know that maybe I'll sign up for apple class. carold

I have had an iPad ever since they came out and I still learn something all the time. Have heard or read there is an app that gives you Flash so I am going to try to find that app.

FLASH...I have had an iPad since the first day they came out. Now on #3. Addicted! At first I did not like the fact that iPad did not have flash and the whole political fight with Apple (Steve Jobs) and Adobe. But you move on. There is Vimeo that is an Apple app that plays video. There are 2nd party apps that covert all Flash videos. Here is a link about them.

http://www.ipad3videoconverter.com/how- ... pad-3.html

Since using tablets is so wide spread these days, specially in 3rd world countries, web developers are using Vimeo and YouTube in place of Flash. I was in the middle if Africa, literally in the middle of freaking no where in Botswana. They don't have running water or indoor plumbing. These two women were walking up from the river with jars of water on there heads...just like you expect to see in Africa.....but look closer, they were talking and texting on cell phones. Once wireless technology was developed, everyone had 21st century communications. It was much easier to put up a few cell towers than run telephone wires :D The people have prepaid phones and when you go to the market place along the river there are vendors selling the prepaid minutes card. So, these days EVERYONE is connected. 8-)

Sheila....Your niece was really lucky that it is still working. The rice is one way to absorb the moisture. Do the same thing if you drop your cell phone in water. I would check the screen brightness setting on the iPad. Which one is it? 1, 2, or 3?

Other than the obvious (check the brightness slider bar - SETTINGS > BRIGHTNESS/WALLPAPER), I have nothing to offer! :(
