A Week in Denali

We finally made our way back to cell service and unlimited hot showers. The park is beautiful.

Restaurant meals must be much calmer when it's only two of you. I noticed they allowed you a regular glass instead of the sippy cup! :D

Tina,

Loved your pictures. I especially liked the quilt too. I am amazed at what artists can do with fabric.

I stayed in a lodge just outside the park for 3 days in July 1981 and never saw Denali. :( We took the bus tour through the park, though, and saw so much wildlife. The fog sometimes just rolled down the slopes and obscured even the grizzlies just at the wrong moments. Disappointing, but I think one would have to stay all summer to guarantee the weather you folks had!

Just saw your recent post on your plane tour. You got to experience Mother Nature up close. Ain't she grand?!
Wonderful pics and narrative, Tina. Glad you made the flight safely. Those pilots have to have allot of experience with Alaskan weather and flying in the mountains.
