New State?

We were traveling in Houston the other day and I noticed "Dolly", the gps, was missing some rather large new roads.
Well, Vicki--- if you would do the updates.... So today I plug her in (we have lifetime updates) and wait.... okay, not enough space for the US and Canada, so pick one.

1. Add a card for enough space
2. Pick Canada
3. The lower 49

Well, hell....No wonder I'm lost all of the time  When did they add another state and where the heck is it?! And I thought I did so well in geography.

Do you have a Garmin?
When I tried to update mine earlier this year, it came up with note of not enough space. Took a while to figure out how to make more space but was an easy tho somewhat time consuming effort. Turns out there are about 34 languages in the machine. To make plenty more space, just delete those you don't want. I left only English on mine. Don't forget when deleting to do both the spoken and text sections. I didn't find any new states but did discover more languages than I knew existed.

I am really laughing over this one    I was trying to figure out where in our land mass we could put another state. I just know they aren't talking about Hawaii. No roads across the Pacific that I know of. Of course, I could be wrong about that. I didn't know we had a lower 49 either

That's too funny!

I have been bent out of shape since upgrading the maps for my GPS in my Honda. The only way I could get the gal to talk to me was to manually push the "voice" button. After a little research I found another new menu page added and found the volume was off!! I need to see if they've corrected the name of one of our streets. It's called Parkway, but the GPS says Porkway.

My Garmin has a little pink car to show where I'm driving. Well, we have a bridge over the Guadalupe River that only opened about a year ago and I haven't updated the Garmin. When I'm driving the little pink car goes off the road and into the river with the Garmin yelling (I'm sure she's yelling) make a U-turn, make a U-turn. Its so funny I almost hate to update it.

My old GPS kept falling off the windshield and I kept having to reset it. Well, one trip I kept getting lost because it tried to send me down driveways and really strange dirt roads. Turned out that it had reset itself to a preference for hiking trails!!

No wonder I was so lost.

Reminds me of my old post when my GPS was telling me to turn right - INTO the Gulf of Mexico, and I stopped to take the picture of it:

Maybe that would be the 49th state?

For some of the newbies, our Tom Tom had us calling 911 the day after traveling to FL to have Ronnie's wheelchair lift installed in the rv.
