Toe Surgery Over

Made it through my toe surgery this morning. They discovered it was a bone chip from an earlier accident instead of the small cyst they thought it was. Need to get more details from my son, who talked to the doctor. Can't remember any accidents, other than maybe once dropping large glass coke bottle on foot many, many years ago, but not sure if that toe was involved. At least it is out and I'll be able to wear shoes without an ache in future.
I have on a small "boot" and can walk on it as much as I need to, although I am using my old walker for stability until I am less woozy. (One problem with living alone is needing to be extra careful.) I was woozy when I came home and took a vicodin and went straight to bed and slept for almost 4 hours. Just started to get achy a while ago, but this time only took 1/2 vicodin because it is really not too bad of a pain. Also had leftover chicken salad to buffer stomach for pain med.
Still a bit woozy and biggest problem is that while I was asleep, someone rearranged the location of some of the keys on my keypad, making me have to retype a lot of words. (Example is first said I was "wizzy" above,) Hopefully, they will straighten themselves out by morning.
Think I will be in bed early tonight!

Judy, be careful. Don't worry about the rearranged keys. I bet someone will straighten them out by morning. I am glad they were able to get you fixed up. Hopefully you will be moving around really well very soon.

Thanks all!
Toe is sorer this morning than yesterday when I was a little loopy and recovering from sedative. I slept well but had to get up once for a pain med and then I got up early to get another pain pill. Had a glass of milk and took a half of a vicodin and getting sleepy again.
Two guys just came to haul the furniture I am not taking from the basement and my second floor to the garage so I can call Purple Heart or someone similar. I am worn out from going up and down stairs twice so am going to rest now.

X5!!! Hope you are back up to speed as soon as possible but please don't push it. Or God forbid, stub it! You can handle a couple of "take it easy" days.

Glad the surgery went well. don't worry about the keyboard, mine does that all the time and I don't have the surgery excuse.
Guess that means I'm loopy all the time.
Take care and don't over do. Linda

When you think about it our poor feet get so much abuse that injury could be any number of times you have dropped something on it or hit your foot hard against something. Sounds like you are doing well and the pain is natural occurrence telling you not to push the healing. You will be off into adventureland very soon.

Good to know it went well.
Strange but it seems no matter what is injured, that is always the body part that gets bumped most often.
