had to share

Just thought I had to share this with y'all cause it's soooo important!
At the last gtg in Johnson City I was so impressed with the "pot luck" cafateria trays some of the ladies had. Some told me that Camping World had them but Colleen said,"try the trift stores", so I did - I love thrift stores  Went to the largest Good Will in San Antonio and found one... and flamingo pink at that :o . I brought it home, so excited to show Carra my new find, I don't think she was as impressed as I was - it takes very little to humor me.

as for Carra, the surgery went well. They found more there than was "original", so it was all removed. The Dr. is very encouraged that this will help a lot. Fingers are still crossed!

Fingers crossed with you.

And glad you found a tray - at a good price - in pink, no less!

Good job, Miss Vickie! And pink, no less, which frankly, I have trouble envisioning you with ANYTHING pink! But I've seen stranger things and at least there won't be any question at GTG's as to whom (or is it who?) it belongs to!

Glad to hear Carra's operation came out well and sending healing thoughts that this will make her more comfortable. Gotta be tough being in as much pain as she's been in for so long. And speaking of backs, how's yours doing????

Going in for my 2nd injection tomorrow. Thank heavens for a friend who is willing to take me, as Carra won't be driving for awhile... The last injection really did nothing, but then again I don't think they expected it to. Loving this steroid stuff, tho!
It took 2 days to give me the munchies, then I wanted to eat everything is sight, So now I have NO sweets in the house

Sharon - you are right, pink is NOT my chosen color! Maybe I should try to make it pink camo

I have a beige one I could trade you if you are turned off by the pink. Glad to hear Carra's surgery went well. Will keep my fingers crossed for her quick recovery and for your next shot to work better. Hey, I would have taken you if you would have given me a call!!!!

Colleen, thank you for the driving offer. You may still get a chance before the year is out
As for the tray,I think it's kind of funny and I sure won't lose track of it!

So glad to hear Carra is doing better. Now its your turn - hope the next shot works for you. Are the steroids helping with the pain?

Thanks to all for the good wishes for Carra!

As to the steroids for me....no relief on the first injection, but not really expected as I understand. After #2 today, all I have right now is a swollen and sore back and a bad hangover from their cocktail  Came home and slept for 4 hrs, just ate and am downing some caffeine. My BP when I went in was 94/51 :o , more caffeine please!
While I was chatting with the Dr. this morning , I told him I had started walking again - back up to 2 miles the other day. Oops! I was told NO more walking, worst exercise I can do with this stenosis -are you for REAL?! He told me to go to a stationary bike and or elliptical trainer - can we get any more boring  Guess I'll be hitting the Y again...

I don't know how an elliptical could be better than walking, those things kill my knees. My DH swears by his Schwinn Airdyne bicycle. That's the only thing he rescued when our house flooded and took to a car wash to clean it. It finally bit the dust and he's on his second one.

Well, there ya go Vickie! Get yourself a stationary bike and you can bike, eat chocolate, lose calories and watch the soaps all at the same time! I love it when we can solve some of your problems with one simple solution!

And then of course if you wanted to carry it a couple of steps further, you could hook the bike up to a couple of batteries, hook the batteries up to an inverter, hook the inverter up to your house and save a bunch of traveling bucks.......Boy, we'll get you fixed up in no time!!
