Keep Fingers Crossed

Matt, the guy who may buy our land, came by this afternoon. Said his banker was going by the tax records to do the appraisal. He told me what it looked like his banker was going to approve for a loan amount. I told him if that number was what it ended up being, we had a deal. We then walked down to the stock tank so he could see the overgrown land behind the tank. Told him I would not go down there because of all the snakes. Told him where the creek was by looking at the trees. He said it was more land than he needed, but if we did the deal, he was going to rent out our house and Mom's to offset the loan payment. He said it was too bad that I could not wait for land values to go back up and then sell parts of the land. I told him I couldn't do that, but he would be able to. Matt told me he felt like he would hear from his banker next week sometime. Keep your fingers crossed.
He asked me about the motorhome I want and we talked about traveling around the country. He and Pat, his wife, do a lot of traveling in Europe. I am very comfortable with Matt being honorable since we sold him the land his business sits on and he was great to work with then. He told me not to worry about the 3 tree limbs that are down in my yard. He said if we did the deal, he would just have his workers clean that up. I told him about the broken pipe in the well. That didn't faze him. Neither one of us wants to pay realtor fees if we can avoid it. I sure hope this works out since he knows I cannot get motorhome until funding and then I need time to empty the house, clean it and move into MH.
