This was a sitting still doing laundry sort of day.....getting caught up on "stuff" and sweeping the sand and dog hair out of the rig so that we can bring new mud and dirt in....

to me it looks like a do nothing day...curl up with a good book or hand work to work on or a nappy
yep a good day for all that but laundry works as well...it does look like a nice area to tour around

Tina, looks like you go to the doctor when I do, when I think something is going to fall off. My leg and knee hurt for 5 weeks but it is finally better. After years of foot problems I highly recommend orthotics. Mine were made by a doctor but some good arch supports might help. I have to wear a size larger tennis shoe for them to fit with the orthotics and a good walking tennis shoe.

Good morning all you Alaska bound Trekkers
While hanging out in WY you might like to read CJ Box. He's a WY writer who has the Joe Pickens, game warden, mystery/crime stories set in current day WY. He addresses many interesting issues while Joe deals with poachers and the like.

I was at the Custer monument about 3 or 4 years ago. Thought it was really interesting. Yeah, I agree with your assesment, Tina, about choices. It was more enjoyable for me to see because for years my mom had a huge painting over her fireplace of the battle with a banner across the corner of it that said "Custer had it coming". Guess you could pretty well guess where my family's sentiments layed!

Love that town! The more I see of all of the posts the more I'm sorry I didn't plan to come! Thanks for taking me along in pictures and wonderful prose.

Thanks Tina, great post. Hope your foot is better soon! It's seem to just hurt all over when your feet hurt. Glad your heaters are keeping you warm. Does the saloon get rowdy at night or are there enough people in town for that, well besides you all! Also I really like your pictures and thoughts of young Tina on your other blog.

Yep, we were the rowdiest people there.

It was tough not getting thrown out of the Saloon, but we managed both times we were there. Mitch and I were the only drinkers, Bud Light with a twist of Lime and the second one I poured over ice because the first one wasn't cold enough. Good with pizza though.

They have this really neat wood stove that really puts out the heat. I think Liz might have a pix of it, I didn't think about the pix I just put my hand on it and warmed them up. But then when they added wood and it started roaring, I was a smart country girl and didn't do that a second time. Stuart enjoyed the ambience and was a really good dog while we ate on our second visit. The gizzards I had were quite good with hot ketchup. The beer sausage that Nan had was not beef or pork not sure about it, it could have been deer, elk, or buffalo. Didn't have buffalo burgers so Liz and Tina did the beef burgers (hamburgers). We all had the curly fries and they were good. Haven't tried the Mountain Oysters but we aren't out of town yet either.

Both times, you ladies would have been proud of us as we were nice, quiet, lady like and just all around well-behaved. No dancing on tables, no gambling, didn't even nail our quarters in the ceiling - had to do laundry with them.

Sounds like y'all are having a grand time! Wish I could be there
