Many years ago, 48 to be exact my husband worked for the company that had built Greers Ferry Dam in our hometown then followed them to the next job which was building Yellowtail Dam near Hardin, Montana. Our son was 2 and I was so homesick it hurt. Our living conditions were pretty horrible but we were together. On another trip to the Northwest many years later I remember a small town that had a brothel...you didn't mention one so it might have been another wide place in the road. Hardin had a brothel too, legal at that time and may still be.
It just made me shiver to see the icicles.

I can't believe there's actually an rv park there, and a PA no less! I can see why they had spaces open for the Memorial Day holiday...not exactly a "destination"....but my kind of place!! Would love a picture of the park if you have one.

Just caught up on a couple of the blogs...I saw where one of you said that the pass thru the mountains was closed due to snow and then I read that it was Beartooth Pass...please tell me you're not taking the rigs thru that pass!! I've done it several times on a motorcycle and trust me, it's not a road for rv's! Steep, steep, steep and lots of hairpin curves. Nah...you wouldn't do that now that I think about it. Whew!
Edit: Should have looked at the map before I posted...Beartooth is south of you. Couldn't remember where we had stayed when we did it. But then I've been in that area so many times and stayed all over, plus add in CRS...

We're not going that way, but I've been thru there with Carol in her class c. Saw bigger rigs up there too. I loved it....absolutely beautiful! (At least after you pry your fingers off he wheel)

What an interesting little town. I'm with Sharon about being surprised you found a campground and a place to eat there.
The weather channel has shown some footage of the late season snow in Yellowstone today. Up to 3 inches and still snowing.
Any word from Carol yet?

I think she is beginning to feel a little better and she knows that we are parked so there is no rush. She sent us on without her but we hope she makes it back on the road soon, we miss her. It is nice to know that we don't have to travel all together to get down the road. I went off yesterday by myself and got into and out of the doctor's office in Billings. We just try to keep each other informed as to our where about. Technology is our friend!

What a cute and authentic western town and the landscape around there is beautiful! Those are the kinds of places many people bypass when they are too focused on their destination. Look what they miss out on.
