back from the beach..

I had a good time in Grayland for 3 days.,. i was suppose to stay another nite but the engine light went on, so not sure what was going on.. so came on home early. it turned out to be the gas cap. ( it wasnt locking) so with getting a code check and $65 later i got a new cap.. ugh!!

The days were really nice.. only one little sprinkle of a shower late at nite and the afternoon was very windy! Clam diggers were there this weekend. i believe last clam diggin for the season.
They came and went.... I always wondered why all the dead crabs on the beach?? finally asked and apparently the 'molt'... now i have lived here all my life and never heard of that!! Millie enjoyed sniffing them as often as she could...LOL

Our beach is pretty bare so i didnt get any interesting pics of the ocean. looked for treasures but didnt find any again. I am going back next month with friends, so maybe something will wash up on shore..

went into Westport and the Pilligans were riding the waves, so that was really intererting.. had a heck of a time keeping up with them with the camera.
this is the only picture I got.. they were flying in a row up and down and swooping right above the sea.. it was very interesting to watch.

new little pine trees are growing along the trails.. only couple of them were accessable to the beach, as with the heavy rains this yr they were flooded...
so had to take trail #3 and #4 out to the beach.

dead ole logs are abundant on the beaches here.. i thought this one was sortta interesting .. just the shape and all..

As always glad to get home.. ...

Enjoyed the pics, Christine, always makes me want to go to it. I think a trip to Gulf Shores will be on my agenda this fall or even winter. I have spent many Januarys on the beach, my favorite time. I liked the old log too.

Thanks for the pix Christine. We're having another overcast/foggy morning here on the central coast of CA.

even those lonely deserted beaches "without treasures" sooth me with the movement of their waves and the sound of the surf that soaks into my soul... :)

Great time on the beach. My check engine light comes on periodically because of the gas cap- I haven't replaced it - just stop at an Auto Zone and make sure that's the cause (free check) and off I go. Someday I'll get a new cap. Hasn't acted up or brought on the light since Liz and I were on the Natchez Trace the start of the year.

I hate that light - have NEVER had it come on for anything important - good thing, though, is that there are places now to get it checked. Back when that was new, I remember paying a dealership close to $100 just to put it on the diagnosis machine. Geez...

Glad you had a good trip. And I love your pellican pic. You might not have gotten many, but the one you shared is awesome.

I'm fighting the gas cap thing now as well on my truck. I've replaced the gas cap and now the gas cap light is back on. I think a trip to the Ford dealer to get an OEM cap and then hope that's all it is. The AutoZone guy are did the check and that's all it showed a couple of weeks ago.

Those are great pics, Christine. Glad you had a good time, but sorry it was cut short by the engine light.
