Well I have been on the road for a few days headed North! North to Alaska.

You can track me on my blog. I started by leaving Lake Georgetown, Cedar Breaks COE cg on the way to Wichita Falls on Thursday April 26 and then on into Oklahoma at Lawton, thru OKC and am currently at the Black Mesa State park. I have been patiently awaiting a mountain lion. Liz saw one here in 2009 so I wanted to see one, too. So far not nary a one.

It has been quite windy here the last two days, but with the setting sun tonight it has totally stopped blowing. Maybe I need to go look for the mountain lion now. There was a great full moon last night lots of light and clouds around it so the photos did not come out. I had to use one from Friday night in my blog.

Yes Alaska, one mile at a time. One stop every night. Woo hoo!!!

You've got a nice blog started. Love all the pictures and commentary. Hope you get to see the mount aim lion from a safe vantage point.

Vickie, I think those bacon collars are special for Bears. Not sure they will work on the mountain lions.

Now Yakn, why didn't I think of that? Slow I guess. Will try that tomorrow night.

Sarah, I don't understand why you aren't taking you new rig up there, too! What happened? Could we not excite you and Nicky enough to make you put that rig in Drive North? Gonna be a blast. Trip of a life time or two!

Know it will Birdie and sure wish I could tag along. Timing just wasn't right. Besides I am so new at this, think I might slow you ladies down too much.
However, I hope to catch up with many of you when you return.
