small world and question on Dodge engines

Talk about a small world. Called Yakn1 (Vicki) to see if she would go to look at a Class B next week. Turns out she actually worked with the guy (Alex) who bought my rig. Too bad I didn't know this when I was negotiating with him. Because he was buying sight unseen and paying the full amount I owed, I kept looking for the scam. Didn't believe until yesterday at the bank that it was all for real. God really sent me an angel.
Now, does anyone know about the Dodge 318 engine? I've heard good and bad. Am thinking about a Pleasure Way with twin beds and a Dodge 318 engine.

So glad you found an honest buyer.
I'm not sure what a 318 is but I have a Pleasure Way Dodge Ram 3500 & my brother said it is really good.
I just Googled the question does the Dodge Ram 3500 had a 318 engine and found this discussion.

I have had RVs with Ford, Chevy, and Dodge, and have had no problem with any of the engines.

I think we all favor one make or model for whatever reason. I have owned all three but it has been several years since having a dodge. The one thing I remember with the chassis is more road noise and I had starter problems. I suspect any issues I had have been resolved.

My '68 Dodge Charger had a 318. One of the best engines Dodge ever made (at that time at least). Don't know about newer ones.

My DH use to buy Dodge trucks but the local dealer was hard to deal with and the service was the pits. They almost went out of business when Chrysler closed a bunch of dealers and are just hanging on by a thread. I don't remember having problems with the trucks.

While I prefer Ford I'd not rule out Chevy or Dodge, either. But I do recommend driving it. I looked at a Dodge - forget what exactly - 4 wheel drive something - and test drove it and hated the brakes and was told they were standard brakes, nothing wrong wtih them and "I'd get used to them". I test drove it again, and decided I didn't want to get used to them. Might have been just that vehicle - like I couldn't stand the way Jean's truck drove (Ford) - an hour behind the wheel of that felt like 3 to me. So - test drive, make sure whatever it is feels good to you in all ways. I'm guessing that engine is just fine.
