enjoyed that part of the day really like to see birds
if you are ever in Quartzsite check out the bird refuge in CA near Blythe can't remember the name of it
but a lot of different birds winter in it...just have to get there at right times
early or late and not a large place but from what they say are there there are lots of different species

One of my favorite places, obviously. You got some great photos of the Whooping Cranes. Solitary or Spotted Sandpiper is at Stinky Beach and Willet is the other one with the Oystercatcher. Then there were all the other little birds we saw, greater and lesser yellowlegs in the field! That was a good birding outing. Aransas is a good spot too, even with all the skeeters. Thanks for bringing the memories back.
