Neat hiking....I don't know if either I or any of my pups are in good enough shape to put in those kind of miles....yet. Will have to build up some stamina so we can keep up with Peaches.... :)

That was sooo interesting, Beth. What a neat CG too, looked like my kind :) just not in the summer, Please. I loved your hike, it was all so interesting. When I am out in that area, or such like it, my mind always wanders back to hundreds of years ago and to those who lived out there. Awesome thinking !!!!!

I enjoyed your post thoroughly, thank you,
CArol :)

take care at Big Bend

Loved your recent post, they brought back good memories. I only spent one night there but did take the hike down to the cave. I spent 2 nights in Alpine, 2 in Big Bend and 2 more in Ft Davis. There is a great state park in FT Davis as well as several nice cgs in town. I saw a whole herd of javelinas less than 10 ft from my rig in Ft Davis SP. The town cg I moved to so I could do laundry was right next door to a used book store/bakery. Lots to see and do there. Observatory is awesome also and since you have a toad now, you might want to do a star party. I was too afraid of driving that mountain road after dark in the rig but plan to return someday for one.
