I was reading a book called "Random Acts of Kindness" and came across the following quote, and thought it fits well with the wonderful women on this forum...
"If there is any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do for any fellow human being, let me do it now, and not deter or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again."
-William Penn

At the risk of being sexist, I think women do a much better job of helping each other than men do.
I know when I was married and raising my kids, my focus was on my husband and family. It was really only after I was divorced that i learned how women have to rely on each other and help each other out. I think I really only developed good friendships with women then, and I am really glad to have done that.

Women by nature are nurturers, caregivers, people pleasers, never giving a second thought to putting others first. That is why they make great mothers and friends!

Ha! When I read the title of this post, I thought you were suggesting a list of "thou shalt nots" ... and I thought of one: "Thou shalt not tell newbies to look into the sewer hose when they start dumping."
But your thought was nicer.

Like that quote also. Have that book on my Kindle to read on my upcoming trip (non RV) to the Outer Banks.

Janice, you gave me my first REAL laugh for the day. I would never have dreamed you could think of such a thing.
Idea : we should make a list of things for Newbies to never do.
1. don't listen to Janice
Thanks for the real good laugh, such a surprise, coming from you.
