Being curious as how other full-timers carve out their computing/writing/creative niches in their rigs . . .this is mine, although not in our rig.
My office in the site trailer, where I visit with you.
Care to share your space?

MIne moves - very little, but moves. Right now my laptop is actually in my lap. Most of the time, I use a tray table - which serves many other functions, as well. And sometimes, I even bring the laptop into bed with me. I love how flexible it is - it goes where I want to be. Most of the time, though, it's on a tray table in front of my sofa.

Since it would take me a week to make my desk presentable I'll show you a picture before I "moved in". I can't put much in the open shelves because the cats like to lay up there and things have a habit of landing on the desk. I have one cat that can jump to the top of the cabinets and squeeze herself between the cabinet and the ceiling. In my motorhome I have a basket that I turn upside down on the sofa and put my computer on. My motorhome is only 23' long and I have 2 sofas and no dinette.

Beth - I sounds like we have the same "office space." We'll have to compare notes next week.

I use a lap desk. It has the wooden board on top with the pillow underneath affixed to it. I can sit on my sofa with my legs propped up until my hearts content. LOL I do like to take my laptop outside, but the light always seems to interfere.

I am not a full-timer.
At home, I sit in my easy chair with my laptop on my legs in front of the tv. To the right of my chair I have three sliding glass doors with a wonderful view of a small pond (flucuating water level) and the woods.
I see birds, turtles, coons, snakes, alligators and other wildlife at times.

Laying on the sofa with an iPad in my hand and a dog across my lap.

When I decided to go back to work this was a very real issue for me to solve. I have a circular dinette with a round table. I bought a piece of wood at Home Depot and had them cut it in an L shape to my specifications. I place it over half of my dinette table so that the L bottom faces me. Under it on the dinette seat is a small organizer with a few supplies and laser checks. My printer sits next to the dinette on a small folding wooden table and underneath is a plastic box with other supplies. On top of the box is my ream of paper. The laptop is on the L. The other side of my dinette is where I eat facing my TV.
The only way this works is that we use a digital share room (think filing cabinet). That eliminates the need for filing paper. Works for me even better than I imagined it would.

Most of the time I'm on a desk top in a home office late at night. I work long hours so it is usally late by the time I can check on the Forum. We have been able to take our little TT out at least one weekend every month. When that happens I use a little netbook on a lapdesk while sitting on my bed.
