Kids Say the Funniest Things

Postby MsBHaven » Sun Oct 12, 2008 7:29 pm

My neighbor's cousin had a new baby, Evelyn, recently. Everyone was concerned how the 2-year old sister, Roslynn, would react to having a new baby sister since Roslyn is rather spoiled. Well, baby Evelyn has been home from the hospital now for about two weeks and everything seemed to be going very well. However, yesterday Roslyn she asked her mother, "When are Evelyn's parents coming to take her home?"

My 5-year old granddaughter was dining out for breakfast with her parents recently. A co-worker of my daughter-in-law stopped by their table and said hello and on her way out she paid for their breakfast, as a friendly gesture. The server came over to let them know that their breakfast had been paid for. My little granddaughter asked my son, "Daddy, are we broke?"

Do you all have a funny kid story?

These are just too cute! Here is my attempt.

We had all went to bed for the night and Shane our miniature schnauzer had piled up with Scotty and I. Well just as the house gets quiet, Shane, starts to sniff my feet. This makes me giggle. Brent, then yells from his bedroom. "Mom, Dad! Can't you wait until I go to sleep before you do THAT!!!!"

When my now 39 yr old son, was in kindergarten, he came home one day and said, "Miss Prosser wasn't at school today, so we got to have a prostitute." (meaning to say a substitute!).

Our youngest son was the one who could open his mouth...and you could expect just about anything to come out. He wanted hermit crabs so for Valentines Day I bought him two. The next day at school the superintendent (who was our neighbor) visited his classroom for show and share...where Sean announced that his mom had given him crabs for Valentines Day. His teacher was also a neighbor....took a long time for me to live that one down at neighborhood get togethers!
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

When my son (who is now 35) was six, we were driving along, and he looked at me and said, "Mom, when I grow up I'm not going to be a stranger."

Perplexed, I said, "What do you mean?"

He said, "You know, a stranger! Like, 'want a cookie little boy?'"

He had been part of a "Stranger Danger" class that day.
