Overnight trip to Guadalajara

Postby asirimarco » Sat Jan 21, 2012 10:19 pm

Still using my Telcel stick - but need to get into town tomorrow to renew it. It is a month to month thing - at least now I know how much I use in one month - less than 1GB.
On Thursday we took a trip to Guadalajara about 180 miles away and ended up spending the night there. Had not planned on doing that but. Bill wasn't up to the drive back. any way have added three blog posts about the trip there. We had a pretty good time.
And we are going to stay here in Aticama another week. Doesn't look like our friend from Indiana is going to be able to come to Mazatlan so we don't have to hurry back.
Enjoyable here on the beach - very relaxing. And I just read our hometown newspaper - they've had an ice storm and it is miserable there.

bill uses them to make "objects de arte" see the web site http://www.woodspiritsandleatherartstudio.com/ he dyes the leather and forms it around the wood carved faces.
I post every day now - well at least when I have internet access which I have to renew today.
Both Bill and Willie the jeep were laid up yesterday - Bills leg was bad enough to make him sick to his stomach - and willie has blown his transmission gasket. today Bill is fine and Willie is on his way to recovery.

Carol, You have to give me more info on the Telcel internet - as I think that's what I want to do when I go back to Baja next year. No hurry - but since I don't speak Spanish, want to make sure I get what I need when the time comes :)

Am following you almost daily right now - love, love love it - as usual.

Carol, thank you so much for the blog update.

I am looking more and more to being able someday to visit MX. I love the fact that you don't just post pictures of the beauty of the country. The pics you post of the people and everyday life are captivating and it all seems to make it all come alive for me!!! And so much more interesting too! :D
