The Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) recently announced a photo contest with a statewide call for entries through 1/31/12. The copy below is from the OMA website.
"Picturing My Florida is intended to explore the transformed visual environment of Florida today. The theme of the exhibition is a grassroots look at Florida as people see it in their everyday lives. Subject matter might include the hustle and bustle of Florida's cities and attractions, portraits of hometowns and neighborhoods or scenes of the state’s natural environment and rural life.
The Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) invites you to participate in the Picturing My Florida photo contest. The photo contest will begin as an online exhibition of photographs open to public participation via Facebook. The virtual exhibition will conclude with a gallery exhibition of photographs at the OMA that includes both the most popular selections as determined by the community and the Curator's Choice Selections that will be selected by a panel of OMA staff and advisors."
Some of our talented photographers who live in Florida should submit entires . . . Where is Liz?
