Dirt is good...add water and you have your very own mud bath and facial. :D

Yes, that is a cabin on the abandoned homestead. I had the description in the original post that was lost, but forgot to put it in this one. And your blog is gorgeous!!

I winter in Salome, Arizona about 35 miles east of Quartzsite on Hwy 60. Here's the website: http://www.rvonthego.com/Desert-Vista-R ... ofile.html

The park is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, a gravel parking lot, and the big draw is all the desert trails for riding. The 22 quads on this ride all belong to people staying here. Some of us stay for the season, some come and go. My relationship with LeRoy began last year when he invited me to go on a ride with him. He has a RZR, which is side by side seating (same thing Sharon has).

There are many abandoned mines which we love to explore. In the spring, the cacti are gorgeous. On one lucky day, we saw a gila monster last spring and we have see bighorn sheep.

Come visit, we can usually find you a ride!!

Tell more about the beehive. It almost looks like an animal skeleton from a distance.

If you enlarge the photo of the beehive by 'clicking' it, you can see the honeycombs. It looks like waxy fins. Some speculate it is a killer bee or African hive, but I couldn't find any such info on the IInternet nor could I find photos of a similar hive. It doesn't look much different than it did last year so I am wondering if it hasn't been abandoned.
