Hi Sistas,
I guess most of you know of my daughter, Candi. We visited with them in Seattle this summer. Right after we got home, we were informed we were gonna be grandparents. She went to the doctor on Tuesday and had her first sonagram. So here is the newest member of the Cain-Samuels household. The view is from the rear.
Everything is fine, baby is growing exactly like it should. Dang, can't wait until I can get my hands on it.

Isn't it amazing to be able to see into the womb these days?? Back in the day, you imagined what your kid looked like----now you can SEE him/her! CONGRATS on your new grandbaby-to-be! (It looks so much like my grandchild at 3 months!----are they related??!!)
My daughter's baby will be photoed again on Thursday next week, in living, 3-D color! I can't WAIT to see those pics!
Have a wonderful waiting/anticipatory time!

Marslet enjoy all these first pix. And, you get to share with all of us. Maybe towards the end of the pregnancy, you will be able to witness them in person??
These ultrasounds are sooooo amazing. The 3-D ones are absolutely astonishing. Saw my twin grandbabies kiss each other, put their arms around one another and my granddaughter stick her tongue out while in the womb. LOL Who would have thought these images were even possible??

when the sonogram of my grandson was done almost 15 years ago it was hard to see but we did see enough that we recognized the position when he got in to it.
It is totally amazing to see our babies before birth when I was having kids that just wasn't done except for the last two and then it was a one time only .. one of my dd's every time she went in the did a ultrasound

Thank you so much for your comments.
Yes, things have come a long way. Not even sure they had such a thing when I was pregnant with Candi. She sends me pics of the baby bump because I am already starting a scrap book for her. We plan to go back there in Nov or Dec (first of month as DH hates to fly near a holiday.) Of course are going in the first week of March and staying until after the baby is born. Can't wait.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, they video-taped the ultrasound which was very cool! The 3D ones are so detailed now tho, which is way cooler! You can even see their facial features!

Marslet, I am so about happy for your familys new addition. But I really have to ask a question....does anyone else look at these sonograms and think they look like a radar weather map?
