Shhhhhhhh...don't tell anyone

UPDATE: George is still in the hospital - every time you turn around, there's another little complication...today's, it's his liver. But we are hoping that he will go to a nursing home tomorrow. No guarantees.

He sure was happy to see his Abby! Abby's sisters (2 of G's daughters) bought a little girl's white sweatshirt and we snuck her up to his room last evening, wrapped in the sweatshirt. (don't worry - G's in isolation, so no one she could have offended...)

And life marches on.

Good for you! There are actually some hospitals (few and far between, unfortunately) that allow pets in to visit. I think it was great therapy for George. And I hope he does get out soon.

When my husband was in rehab in Jax after his accident & spinal cord injury, my daughter brought our cat and we sneaked him in to visit. It was the first time I saw my husband move his paralyzed arm to stroke the cat. He really started to make progress after that, and the cat, once discovered by the nurses, was invited to come back any time. (He had a private room.)

So glad George got to spend time with Abby. Hope things start looking up for you. (hugs)

A picture of contentment. Glad you listened to yourself and knew what George needed. Hopefully, you are doing the same for yourself. And I'm NOT going to ask what that might be  Take care. carold

I'm not sure who looks happier, George or Abby! Seems like this was a match made in heaven and the hospital. Glad she fit inside the sweatshirt. ;) There should be a rule that children (both two-footed and four-footed) are allowed to visit if the patient wants...period...unless the patient is communicable. We know the benefit of animal and human interactions. Oh well, hopefully, Geo will be able to get more Abby visits in the rehab hospital. :D :D :D Please take care of yourself, GF, Dufus, Mitchy! We all love you and are sending prayers of recovery and strength. ((((Mitch, Geo, and Abby the Nurse Doggy)))
